Nice rig! What rims are those? I like the offset. Did you need adapters of some kind to have them stick out that far? Thanks

Thanks They are the Monster EX from Mayhem engineering. They come with some adapters but others are available. The adapters on the rig now are the narrow ones.

Looks killer. Do you have to remove the bumper to remove the hood? Just curious because I have the battery mounted up front, and would be a PITA to remove the bumper every time you change the battery.

with the Rubi kit you can trim them out for either opening hood or closed. Its up to you. This one appears to be setup in the closed position. But with a couple cuts, some hinges and posts you can make it open up wide.

The fit is nice and tight. It all depends on how you trim it. Mine came out a little tight around the cowel. Overall very impressed with the body.

yes you would have to remove the bumper. Hoosierdaddy is right on, a very simple mod to make a functioning hood. Dynamic Concepts will even sell you the body with a set of hinges, Dubro airplane versions I believe.

I have a question about the headlight covers that you used. Are they the stock ones from the Wraith kit, or are they the RC4WD ones? Did you have to do anything special to get them to mount in place so nicely? And are the headlight buckets mounted behind them as well, and if so, how did you get the buckets to stay in place?

I'm going to be ordering one soon, and since I'm trying to get as much scale appearance as I can out, I want my headlights to look as good as your and to ensure that they work.

Thanks in advance.

Yes they are the RC4wd lenses that come with the aluminum buckets. I got them from RPP. I placed them after the paint was done. As far as keeping them in place I just used a toothpick to place a "bead" of Shoe Goo on just the edge of the lense and placed it over the existing headlight molded into the body. Just be sure to mask the headlight area before paint. I don't have the buckets installed. I planned on Axial buckets but the Wraith frame would not allow it. The RC4wd buckets that come w/ the lenses may work as they have a lower profile. I just stripped My Rubi for parts to build a 1/6 Willys, so I never got a chance to see if they work.
