i'm installing as we speak the strc upper and it's a nice finish. i decided to go with the vanquish for the lower since it's harder and i assume they will slide better on the rocks

I am using upper and lower links as well!! They are very nice and so far I like them...I might change my mind and get tubular kind eventually...who knows.

No good. They don't sit properly and the brass retainer for the rod ends either keeps getting loose or just breaking off.
I have to buy wraith rod ends now which will total a set of quality links.

using their lowers, I HATE the rod end set-up you have to run, but they work ok. I've broken a few rodends with them on.

Yup, used some on the brass retainers, it will either pop off because there is so much movement with the links or just crack in half. Anyways it's too much of a hassle for an upgrade.

Well my question is why would you go to hot racing for upgrades when we have Vanquish, Chaotic Crawlers, STRC, RC4WD, etc. for upgrades when it's known that their products appear to be hit and miss?

Well, it's a lesson learned. I tried to do some research before I bought it but it seems like no one had it yet, so I guess I was the guinea pig. Also forgot to mention that I broke off the aluminum end on the steering link which leaves me with a pile of useless HR metal.
Buy vanquish first.

Yeah we all learn the hard way that certain companies are better than others. I can't say VP is the best...I have issues with their 3/16 Steering kits! I am buying the R2j steering kit because the VP one smacks my diff covers no matter what I do!! :(

Mine doesn't, I'm going to assume it's user error on your part.

Okay so I got my VP C-Hubs and Steering Knuckles/Arms! Funny how Vanquish Products design their stuff only to work with their own the best! Now my VP steering tie-rod and drag link work fine! No more diff smacking! The tie-rod is higher now than with the stock setup. Totally weird but I am happy now.

Too bad I just bought the R2J steering kits and won't even use them. :(

Live and learn, yet again!! :P
