Default Wraith with exo ifs?

Has anyone seen any Wraith's with the exo front suspension? I'd love to read some build threads, since the idea of building one interests me.
I've seen a pic like this once: http://www.rcshortcourse.com/forum/a...5375-photo.jpg
But even with asking from the thread it was on, I received no information about buildthreads or what so ever.

Would have never even figured the width would be applicable.

It looks like the wraith chassis just sitting on a Exo chassis. Look at the rear.

What do you mean by look at the rear?
The pic was posted by allmighty AXIAL, so I doubt it's just a wraith cage on top of the exo chassis. Also, there are no rear camber links in the rear, so it has to be ar-60 axle.

Zoom in, can't see links cause panel is covering by angle and if you zoom in you can se the three holes grouped together.

It's a wraith chassis sitting on top of a Exo chassis! Unless I'm seeing things.

Guess you are seeing things...

It is the front end of an EXO spliced onto a Wraith, that was the original test Wraith, it didn't get as much PR as the orange one did though...

I unfortunately didn't take any photos of the process, but it is simple. Take the complete front end from an EXO, cut the chassis just behind where the center diff sits then drill/tap some screw holes to attach it to the Wraith skid plate.

I used a Wraith driveshaft to connect the front bulkhead to the transmission and had to some trimming of the side guards and some other items to get everything to fit properly but it is all fairly easy stuff. I also adjusted the position of the servo for the steering.

Everything can be done with a hacksaw, drill, and straight cutters so anyone can easily convert their Wraith to an IFS racer.

I am sure we will start to see many more people doing this conversion soon as it really is quite simple.

Very interesting. I'd jump on it but mine is still a little "tweaked".

Start selling a conversion kit, I don't want to cut my exo chassis plate, yet..
This is an interesting project for sure, I need to start figuring a way to keep my exo chassis drive-able, but also convert my wraith.

DTP told me to look for this thread.

I told him I wanted to do a IFS rig with the Wraith and pulled the manual on the Exo to research parts fit/interchange.

Good to see I wasn't wrong in thinking it would be a simple process.

Step 1: Cut EXO Terra Buggy Chassis in half.

Axial found this chassis on my desk and decided to cut it in half End result was worth the initial pain.

Nice!
Why did you cut it to be so long? Are you making more vid's about the build process? Atleast give us pics!

Interesting but at a cost of around $600 for both kits to just make one truck. I like the idea but it seems cost prohibitive. More info please.

What about going the other way and putting a wraith 4 link / solid axle on the back of an EXO for an even more scale class 1 type car?

I was just thinking how awesome it would be to make a baja rig with the EXO IFS and a solid axle rear.

Are the gear ratios the same in the EXO diff and the Wraith axle?
