Default Robinson Racing 32p 56t slipper & .8 mod pinion?

I'm looking at getting the SuperShafty top shaft and the RRP 32p 56t Gen 3 slipper for my Wraith. I read that the RRP Gen 3 slipper needs a .8 mod pinion gear. Not finding a .8 mod pinion gear with a 1/8 bore.

Can I use a my current RRP 32p (1/8 bore) pinion gears on the 56t 32p Gen 3 slipper? I'm currently running 32p gears now. Does matching the modules that big of deal?

Thanks for your help!

There is only a slight differance. I was running 32p pinions before I knew any better and it seemed noisy. I went and got some .8mod, RR does make them, and it didnt seem to make any less noise. I think you are good to run 32p but others may know more.

Yep, I'm currently running 32p spur and pinion now. I read that the RRP Gen 3 slipper requires .8 mod pinion gears. RRP makes .8 mod pinion gears, but for a 5mm shaft size. My HH motor has a 1/8" shaft size.

Just wondering if my current 32p (which aren't .8 mod) pinions will work with the RRP Gen 3 slipper?

Ok!!! Did some more research on this. 32 pitch and .8 mod are essentially the same. .8 mod is actually 31.7 something pitch.

So, as long as I run a 32 pitch pinion obviously, and the 32 pitch RRP Gen 3 slipper, it will work.

I'm running same sized spur with 12t Traxxas pinion which is .8mod and it's been running fine for a while. It's pretty noisy, but is looking good.

Run it a little on the loose side too since they aren't exactly the same. I always find that running it more loose than I normally do with 48p seems to quiet it down too.

I guess I could get the 5mm to 1/8" spacer for my motor shaft. Then I would have no problems with finding 32p .8 mod pinion gears.

HARLEY!!! Need your input on this!!!

Thanks for the info guys!
