Turn the servo 180 degrees putting the servo horn on the other side which will allow a longer tie rod.

Ah! At full compression the servo horn would slam into the front upper link mount every time. As it is now the two clash only at full compression and full left steer. Surprisingly there are no marks on the link mount suggesting I'm doing an OK job of landing with the wheels straight.

Magnetic hood clasps
 

I was tired of velcro and body pins are way to Slash so I decided to try magnets. No trail testing yet as that will happen tonight. It takes a pretty firm snap to open the hood.

I made some angled steel riser blocks and glued Sonicare brush head RE magnets to the hood reinforcing CF plate. It snaps closed with a nice "clink" sound.

I love how your rigs coming along.

I bought vp clamping chubs and they are zero slop no need for epoxy this is the only vp part I've bought and I feel it was worth it

Yep the VP gents recognized the need for tighter chub fitment and nailed it on those. Glad they are working out for you. I wanted to use my servo/steering arms so the V1 chubs were my only choice. I can see you have put many, many miles on your rig. Looks good.

I'm so glad I waited to get a rc4wd axle. A week ago I was going to order but couldn't find them on stock. Vp stepped-up so I'll go with there housing. The chubs are that good.

what all I have to get to run the revo 54-56t spur? I'm using the boat anchor rr gen 3 with SS beefy top shaft. Ty in advance"thumbsup""thumbsup"

With the SS top shaft I think you are good to go. Let me check but I recall having to lathe the fins on the slipper "pin plate" back side so that they didn't hit the tranny. I'm upping my pinion from 15 to 16 tonight so I'll check. A file will work as well as a lathe so you may be good to go either way.

Ok cool! I got the slipper eliminater coming from locked up rc, I may use it since I'm goin to plastic spur(fuse link) I go get one tomorrow at lhs!!!

Not the best photo but you can see I lathed the slipper plate fins almost to nothing. I need to toss all of this and make a locked unit too.

Got one. Weighs a ton. It's collecting dust...in a drawer. Revo unit is less than half the weight, half the cost, overkill strong and a lot more quiet with some fail built in. Should have never bought the RRP unit.

Nice, I don't run slipper on most my RC, plastic spur is fusable link and I watch the throttle when needed. "thumbsup"

I use the revo unit on my revo. It is a lagre rc so the weight isn't a problem. As for the axial unit I only own one and it is mostly stock. I build bostly motors hooked to gear reduction unit to a t-case to get the weight of the front axles. As for the really custom stuff I just wing it with what ever I'm trying to accomplish.

Got two as of now sittin aside goin to be for sale 54t & 56t rr slipper units!!!
Too loud & eats pinions plus need a fuse link already broke 2 female mip's:twisted:spur is cheaper!
