Default So, what kind of power will a wraith axle handle?

I'm thinking of a project involving a 6s mamba monster set up on a 40 series paddle, but I have been out of the loop for a while and have no idea what parts are available for the axles? Just kind of curious if anyone has tried putting some serious power through these axles yet. Thanks,

-Matt

if you're going with 6s you need to build your own complete vanquish axles

Went to a hill climb event this weekend and most of the guys running wraiths were using pro 4 motors on 4s and they were pretty damned fast! It looked like most were running the plastic housings, however there was still lots of gear carnage!

That'd be fun to watch, get vid

It'd have to be a pretty built up drivetrain, 1/8 monster trucks have trouble with that kinda combo (been there, done that). Take it down to 4s and a 540/550 motor, as was mentioned, and it'll be more fun than worrying about when your junk is gonna blow.

Well I do have a slash 4x4 with the 2400kv 4 pole castle set up on 3s, and it is pretty stupid lol. It might not be too bad in a bigger truck on 4s. We're they eating diff's or trannies? I will probably run a summit trans.

Also, do the wraith diffs use the same gears as the ax-10's? Looking to run over drive gears.

an advice, i dont know if anyone has done it yet, but the hole idea it will be to buy a tube with the inner side of the axle and the outer side of the plastic axle, then drilled a bit of the plastic axle to fit the steel tube inside the plastic axle and the axle inside the steel tube that will reenforce as hell the axle and it will prevent from binds of the axle or cracks of the axle since it will be reenforced from the outside with the wall of the inner steel tube.

No matter how you build them, Wraith axles won't hold that power. Just not going to happen find a more appropriate base or use a realistic power combo.
