| The Used and Abused 2 speed
Ive had my wraith for about a year and a half and its been a great truck but its like that saying, you cant have your cake and eat it to. Until now, with the 2 speed this thing can just about do it all. I can be crawling on some nasty rocks then push a button and BAM im in hyperdrive. I was running this set up all weekend, maybe 10 4000mah packs. Crawling and endurocross type racing. |

I've really thinking of a pro 4 and the 2 speed tranny, have you had any problems with the tranny not holding up to the power of the pro 4?

Perfect timing. I was debating buying a Bomb-proof for my build because I didn't have much faith in these. Not to mention the price difference. I already have the Pro4 |

I'm unable to tell. Can you fit that under your interior? Also, I'm guessing you can't, but can you shift while moving?

If you take the shifters out you can, and yes it actually shifts better while moving. I have a HS-65MG thats going to take place of the wraith stocker. Just havent made servo mounts yet. |

I have probably run 15-20 packs through my wraith with this tans pro 4 3300 and rx8 esc. I haven't had any problems. I am running the 15/60 gearing it came with and is plenty low for crawling and in high gear goes faster than a wraith should go! Don't try turning while going fast it will roll and cart wheel out of control.

Got mine from ebay about a week ago for $130, they are now $160. If you want it bad enough they are out there. And yeah it goes to fast flat out but i like having the option of warp speed Ive taken my seats out and replaced them with my ESC and RX, easy access if you know what i mean. Back when i was running the traxxas vxl brushless system, big power gains with the pro 4 tho, better throttle response to. Also the venom wheels i was running at the time were nice for the endurocross type of racing, made the truck nice and wide. Good and stable, flipped less when going hard into a turn. New parts came in today. I dont really like the VP knuckles with the stock wheels and the stock lockers, theres a lot of slop side to side and im having to mount the links on the bottom side of the steering arm. I dont think ill be able to run my panhard setup with the knuckles in the front because of the drag link being mounted under the steering arm. Ill post more when i mount the cage back on and connect the drag link to servo arm. I hate this buying parts and nothing working and having to buy more parts and then when your all finished you have a box of parts that you cant do anything with. But sometimes those parts come in handy. Trying to set up my rear steer, after taking apart the front end i found a bearing locked up and one that was just about ready to. Had to take some from the venom creeper. RIP Cant wait to get all this sorted out and running, this will be the first rig ive had with rear steer. Ive always wanted it and this truck needs to be easier to move around in those tight places, I get tired of having to back up and readjust to make a turn or miss a tree or rock. |
