| wheelbase stretch / axle widening / superclass build
I am interested to know peoples thought and opinions are on making a wraith into a psuedo super class crawler. I am thinking i can accomplish this fairly easy with a few of the following mods. 1) I am thinking i can take the stock links remove them and install some new ones that measure to approx a 17.5 wheel base. Now i would most likely just make these myself, obviously lengthen the driveshafts, and mount the shocks on the links via a mount i make or mod. wideners-kit-p-1408.html?zenid=275c806ec84f33bb8bfab00234c0f9fe So for the most part i just want a crawler that i can play around with in my house on the couch. I just want something that climb stairs and climb up onto the couch. I feel that with stretching the wheelbase it could do what i need and with widening the axles it would help diminsh rollovers caused by the high stance of the wraith. I am really just amused by the articulation and geometry of these machines. Also i beleive these means of modification would be cheaper in the short term rather than building a complete superclass crawler that I would never intend to comp or use to the full abilities. Thank You In Advance Again what are you thoughts and opinions. |

i think a stock wraith will suit you well. not sure 17.5" will climb onto a couch?

If you are looking to climb these things and be a "super" go moa with actual super.... Quite a bit more money than a modded wraith... But it will surely climb

I say...what he hell...Go for it. You can always put it back to stock if it don't work like you want it to.Just like the old saying goes."Ya never know until ya try"
