| New Wraith owner woes
Hi guys i thought i would bite the bullet and buy a Wraith because of all the good things ive heard about them. But as the packages came in the mail I hit a little snag in the build. For my motor/ esc combo i got a Holmes Hobbies 27t torque expert comb. Every time I have purchased a castle system it came ready to go. But when the motor cam in the mail it had NO leads seeing as it was a combo the only thing i need to do is add a deans connector. Right now im stuck in the mud because i have no way to use the motor. Does someone sell motor leads or to i have to make my own. I really dont want to buy anything else but if i have to i will. Thanks in advance for the responses. I'll see if i can add pics later but i dont know how! |

All holmes hobbies motors come clean with no leads!! You make your own. Buy some good quality 14AWG or 12AWG wires. I use Acer Racing : 14 Gauge Silicone Wire No big deal!! I like to try and direct wire my motor to ESC but in some cases it is nice to have connectors so you don't have to dismantle too much. Oh and no need for pics!! We all know what we will see!! A motor with no leads!! LOL Last edited by ZippoMan; 01-05-2013 at 03:45 PM. |

The br-xl will have 4mm female bullet connectors on the motor leads. Two 4mm bullet connectors should be in the ESC package. Once you get the silicon wire described in the previous post, You need to solder one end to a male bullet connector and the other to the solder tab on the motor. |

It's not just a Holmes thing, Tekin motors don't come with leads either. Just pick up some wire and make your own.

Great choice of motor & ESC. There is an option when you ordered it to have them add the leads. If i need to make them I use 12 gauge Deans Ultra Wire. You can also buy 2 foot lengths packaged, or visit your local HS to buy it by the foot. Good luck with the new Wraith! |
