Looking good. With that high speed motor your probably going to want to lower the ride height to get less torque twist.

How did you do your hood pins. Like the looks , red and all. Needs a little mud ( for seasoning!).

Here's a few pics of my hood pin setup. Not my idea-found it here on the forums. The threaded hood studs are for a traxxas rustler battery mount. The white disks are also traxxas equipment. The black rubber hood pin strap is Dubro equipment. The hood hinges are just small black zip ties. Well I got a box of goodies in the mail.Since I am going to use this rig as more of a Basher I installed a set of gears in the front diff for better steering.Man those tiny allen screws that hold the diff covers are a pain in the butt.i went with the Gmade XD piggy shocks after reading all the raves about them. Also went with some cheap Gmade bead locks.I like the looks of them and they seem pretty stout.I have some axial alum upper links yet to install.I need to get the long Allen screws and rod end though. Here it is!!! Last night i was messing around running in the house doing a little pillow crawling. So far i like what i see with the capabilities of the Wraith.I was running a 4400 40 c 2 cell pack-i decided to see what the difference would be with a 3cell.I also fly r/c jets and have some 3cell 2200 40c pack for those.Holy sh*t what a diffence. This thing is gonna be an animal once i get it outside. Also picked up some 32p gears that need to be installed.Placed an order last night for the stuff i need to mount the alum. upper links.

I'm gonna call this build finished for now.As I haven't really even had a chance to run this thing outside the house.I finally got the alum upper links and the 54/14 32p gears installed. The weather has been crap here lately to take her out for a go. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] |

Nice Build, I like your half winsheild and those beadlocks look good also. I figure my Wraith will never be done. I'm painting another body for it and hope to have it done tomorrow. I know what you mean about the weather in IL. ...I lived close to you for 30 yrs. Yet it's going to get about 20 below tonight here in Maine. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....Take care and thanks for posting |
