| Axial Wraith vanquish steering help!
I am modding my wraith and bought vanquish titanium links including tie rid and drag link. I already had the vanquish panhard and chassis mounted servo mod. Ok now the guy I bought it from put Hot Racing knuckles, hubs' and lockouts on it. I want to buy. The stage one steering kit. However the issue I have how is the HR steering arms are pitched in a way that it puts the steering in a bind. Please some one let me know what steering arms I need. The acramin arms say they wont work with the normal wraith tie rod which I have

I didn't want to start a new thread about this same topic but does your vanquish tie rod hit the diff when turning? I have the Ackerman steering arms and vanquishes stage 1 kit. I don't know if the tie rod needs to be bent or what. Sorry for the hijack.

I don't know what the stage one kit is, but I have the vanquish hubs and knuckles as well as tie rod/drag link for ackerman set up. The ackerman arms that come with the knuckles will not work, they are too short. I had to order the arms listed above and all is good. At full turn the tie rod is close but doesn't hit.

Their stage 1 kit is c hubs knuckles and rear lockouts. I purchased the Ackerman steering arms sperately also that are longer than the red ones and those are what I'm having issues with. I'm using the Ackerman tie rod also

Im not having that issue. Mine clears the diff but I called vanquish and they informed me that the new knuckles come with standard steering arms... I will be ordering stg 1 when they come back into stock!

Where in the travel is it binding? Can you post some pictures? Also, for the VP Ackerman tie rod and arms, it will hit the diff cover if you have the stock plastic one. I had to shave the ribs at the top. I also have my chubs clocked all the way back too. My guess is with the VP diff cover (not the thick 3D one) it should clear better. It seems that in the pictures and videos they have that diff cover on and it's ok. The regular VP tie rod with standard arms has enough clearance for the diff cover though. |

You can put the tie bar on the top of the steering arm, but then you're stuck with the long screw with the small tie rod way up top. Not ideal for leverage sake, but definitely clears. I kept the tie bar at the bottom and twisted it up once installed (so it rotated inside the ball ends upward. This way when you turn it tries to slide across the top of the diff cover. You may still need to shave the ribs off the top though.

Sounds like a bunch of mixed matched vanguish stuff. I'm thinking about buying Ackerman arms and making links out revo ends. I can't seem to find much on the Ackerman stuff but the few pictures I've seen the tie rod looks almost straight |

Did you have to trim the servo arm down? I got a Robotronic one and it hits the lower tie bar so had to switch back to a regular horn for the time being.
