Default Proline Rubicon body hitting steering servo

I'm mounting a Proline Rubicon body # 3380 and when I compress the suspension it's hitting the steering servo and it looks like I need to trim the grill to fit it. It's not hitting by just a little either, it's hitting the servo on the top of the case. I've seen only one other mounted and they had trimmed the front grill on the body. The body on the Proline site isn't trimmed but looks like it's sitting inside the stock bumper pretty far. I also mounted with stock position on cage, any ideas?

CMS, or you could probably move the servo back just a bit.

I knew someone was going to say CMS

I'll need to check if I have enough room to move it back, looks like the servo arm is still pretty close to the pumpkin.

Also, what links are you running? You could shorten them a bit to move the axle back and get it to clear that way.

Hmm, that's a really good idea that I totally missed. I the stock links but the kit was assembled by someone else. I wonder if the shorter ends will fit on them.

You can take an exacto knife and shave down the rod ends to make them a bit shorter as well. And if your lower link/shock mount is flipped you can flip it back to stock and shorten it up about 1/4".

Just checked it out. The stock top links are one piece and have the bottom threaded kit links. It looks like that servo is just way taller than the other ones. I might see if another servo will fit in there. I do have a set of custom links I did up for the other wraith that I could shorten too and install. That's probably going to be the best bet.

Look at my thread for moving the servo back. It's the PL Bronco body but should be similar.

No word on the servo yet, plan to drive this weekend when I get things more sorted out in the truck.

So, I ended up trimming it a bit and the fit is pretty good. It slides up into a nice notch about 1/3 of the way up the grill. The bumper covers most of it so it looks pretty good. I'll post some pics in a new build thread.
