Default Battery run time question.

On a new stock Wraith, how much run time would you expect from a new lipo Venom 5000 2s 25c battery?

I have charged mine twice. On the first charge I got about 40-45 minutes in grass and blacktop. On the second charge, I got about 1-1.5 hours playing on a loose dirt hillside.

Neither of these are inline with what I expected.

Scratch that. After looking at the clock, the second charge was also sub one hour.

Thanks for the reply . So my run times are a little low but, can be due to more throttle on the climbs.

I thought I would get more run time out of the bigger battery.

Does your charger tell you how much went into the battery? Maybe you're not getting a full 5000mAh into it?

All depends on how your driving it and what setup you have

I realize there are variables, I still thought sub one hour run times on a new bone stock Wraith were a little low. Running it in flat grass and blacktop driveway shouldn't be hard on the battery.

Grass probaly sucks more power than you think. Just imagine as a kid riding your bike it the grass compared to blacktop

my venoms are a year old and still give me 1 3/4- 2 hours each. I run both 30 and 40c 5000mah. I run a goat 3s with the 13.5 motor lower times were heavy throttle sand wash runs on the rocks where full throttle is not required gave longer runs., bone stock brushed and new batts it ran over 3 hrs. have you tried to contact venom about this? try a different battery if you have one and see what happens

Well I had a stock Wraith for one day I just installed a Goat 3s and a Novak 21.5 turn motor. I had a few 3s batteries so this was bound to happen.

I have a 3s 3300mah that I use in my wraith. I range from 1hr to 1 1/2 hours with a HH brushed motor. When I get the brushless in in guessing it will be down to 45min to an hour. Brushless will get you less run time than a brushed motor.

On a 35T brushed motor with a 4300mah 3s I've gotten over 3 hours of run time before.
