| I'm new here/ My wraith with pics
Hello everyone I'm new to the forum this is my first post. Ive had my Wraith for about a month Absolutely love it, it's my second r/c. first one is my Savage X. some things i've done to it re-located the battery up front with out doing anything but moving the ESC and wrapped some of the cage in rope. always looking for input and new ideas to mess around with. Now to the pictures! Right out of the box! where the battery sits now. New place for the ESC after a little boredom |

well everything is stock like right out of the box I waterproofed my ESC . well if I can find some scale stuff sound were I live that would be cool. I like the idea of driving it like that and testing how it handles different things. dirt, hills, rocks, forest, mud, water. and have fun of course!

Off to a good start. It will be real nice when you lower it some. It won't be so floppy. They are a lot of fun, I've had mine for just over a year and probably have 200-250 batteries through it.

Yes it will deffinately benefit from a droop kit. And IMHO the wraith is one of the most versatile trucks to make what you want out of it. So have fun.

DONT BUY A DROOP KIT I didn't spend a penny or have to make parts for my ride height. Its all stock stuff. I have aftermarket shocks but there the same length as stock just tune stockers a little and itd be the same |

Put shocks in farthest inward hole, flip upper rear shock mount and all lower shock/link mounts, set your shocks so there is about half inch of down travel and all up travel

I will try to do all those things tonight when I get off of work will post pictures after! any trick to flipping the mounts upside down? havent really looked into that yet? or do they just flip over? ordered a NVS system for this and the extra lights for top of the truck should be here in about a week. good prices to! |

the flip is vary easy to do. remove your link and shock from mount. then remove the 2 bolts from behind the axle flip and reassemble i did all for of mine in about 30 min.

| Re: I'm new here/ My wraith with pics what he said its pretty straight forward. and for the rear upper mount just take out the 4 i think bolts and the shocks bolts turn it over and bolt everything back together. all the stuff i did goes together like it was meant to be there is no major modding and no cutting or anything

| Re: I'm new here/ My wraith with pics I was running stock rear traxxas slash springs on the rear and losi slider ones on the front. Just basically loosen up the adjuster on the shock body and if that doesn't get there get some shorter springs

Or you could leave the outside of the shocks as is and just limit up or down travel internally. But when you do all of the other free mods to lower the Wraith the stock shocks actually work pretty well the way they are. Just tune them in a bit by adjusting the spring collar on the threaded body.

i also did all the lowering tricks and have 25wt oil in the shocks now. actualy fairly impressed with how they handle in the rocks. fronts are in the mid position and rears are all the way forward in this pic Last edited by evan03; 03-06-2013 at 10:35 AM. |
