I've got 2 I'm getting ready to chop on. I think the best way is going to be to use a new razor blade and lightly score the lexan until you get through it. It'll take some time, but it's something that when done right will look awesome. Again this is just my opinion. Many other on here have done it, I'm sure someone will chime in.

I dont have any of the special lexan scissors so i used a pair of wire cutters to make the first cut to start it then used my moms kitchen scissors to finish the job and it didnt turn out that bad. Tried to find the hinges ive seen people use to attach their hoods but couldnt find them so i used shoe goo where the hinges are molded in the body (second pic) and it works like a charm. To top it all off i used small magnets to keep the hood closed because i didnt like the look of body posts and pins sticking out of the hood. im done chatting here are the pics of mine.

The hood looks crooked in that picture because it's a little open on one side
