Default 32p gearing

Probably a dumb question but what is the benefit of running 32p over the 48p? I have the timbuk2 setup and haven't had issues with it yet....

Strength. You'll strip the 48p sooner or later. I've had both high torque brushed and brushless motors in my wraith and have only stripped 1 32p spur. I went through a half dozen 48p spurs in the first couple of months though.

crawler nut is correct! That is the biggest reason to switch. Fatter teeth engage better and won't strip out as fast!! If you set the mesh correctly!

Timbuk2 wraith edition has a 14mm rotor that pulls less than 200 amps on 2s so you may not need to step up to 32p stuff. If you don't need it I would stick with the quieter 48p gears.

My 32P gears are nice and quiet. I run a plastic spur gear and RR Metal pinion. It is just as quiet as stock. I have the plastic cover on so it also helps keep it quiet in there. I am really happy with mine so far.

Mine are pretty loud. I'm not running a cover though since I am using a 60t spur.
