| Frankenwheely's Wraith Build "Hoofed Hussy"
More of a rebuild or twist, spin, etc. Well Rcbros let me purchase his already tricked out wraith to fund his next project. So now this is my project.I've been wanting a wraith for awhile and I was just waiting for a good one to show up. And here she is. List of goodies that came with it: Vanquish Steering Links Vanquish panhard mount Vanquish front dh wheels Vanquish rear slw wheels RC4WD baja claws Robison racing transmission gears Mips Tekin 17.5 with tekin rs Team3six seats with driver Axial knuckles Axial kit universals Rcbros rear cover Rcbros windshield Rcbros fairlead 7950 hitec servo Futaba mini servo winch with heyok controller and warpig spool. How it looked when I got it. I'm going to do a few upgrades at first, take her for a spin, kick the tires and see what else I would like to do with it. There might be a lot of stuff coming off of this (Sorry Will) because my main intention is making it a bulletproof basher. Last edited by Harley; 03-24-2013 at 10:35 AM. |

In a hurry it looks like he mounted the knuckles backwards. Flipped them and added some HR chubs that I stole from my sporty. Much better. Switched all the links to aluminum that I had laying around forever. |

Threw this in to see if it runs. I am waiting to get a futaba to be able to the winch. I also threw some losi springs to see how it does. White in the front, gold in the rear. I'm running the stock shock, any suggestions on what shocks to run besides big bores or scx10. (I know they are good) Kinda want to try something different. |

HooWee! This thing is fun. Had a couple of minor breaks. Screws walking out, bad lipo. And cracked the front bumper. It was a wicked test spot for sure. It was like a mini G6 minus the running. Just a taste of the terrain that kicked my butt a little. Overall the rig did pretty well. The shocks did really well with the spring adjustment. The tires need to be broken in, but they were hooking up enough to get there and back. I'm working on a name for this rig so the thread title change will happen. Keep an eye out. Sweet! Looks like a cool spot. Took mine out for the first time today also. Only problem I had was screws coming out to.

Enjoy this rig, wish I could have drove it more but I'd rather see someone use it then it sit on the shelf.

Speaking of Rcbro, He Bling'd it out with the Rcrbro logos, as you have seen. But he also included a Dinky RC hood. I hinged it up and going to paint it along with the other stock panels he included as well. And I would like to thank Harley for changing my thread title. I found a 3 channel spektrum rx. So I got to plug in the winch and the lights. The lights work. Now. My DX3R scroll button is toast. In which it scrolls when it wants to or doesn't at all. Which it makes it difficult to scroll through the menu. (Just to switch between rigs may take a minute or two to get it to cooperate.) So that doesn't help on how to operate the winch with this controller. Questions: -Can I operate a winch with a DX3R? -If so, what button/buttons do I need to set it to in order to get it to work? Plus which option do I select to make it work? |

In the menu go to the aux setting and chose switch button "D" as this is a three position switch. And you can also tune the rate on the switch. Hope this helps Rob

Ahh, what about the E switch? Will that work as well? I like it because it used to be my dig switch. Also, Tune rate... it's just hard to go through it as the remote is being a beeyotch.

Ahhhh. It's been awhile. Thought I would post up some new pics and info. Took it out to the desert to get some glamour shots and scout some video locations. Ran it around camp to make sure it liked the sand, which it did. Came back home, took it back to the test spot and beat the pizz out of it. No broken parts and nothing walked out. Parts and upgrades are coming, so stay tuned. Here are the glamour shots that I'm sure you have been waiting for.... |
