FINALLY got a Wraith

Well, theoretically it's supposed to be here Monday, but it's paid for and shipped!

I'm looking for some pointers on making it a better crawler. It's coming with a Venom waterproof burshless esc and a SCT motor rated at 4200kv. My first question is, while staying brushless what KV rating motor should I get? I was thinking something between 1500 and maybe 2100kv. I'm not worried about the small amount of cogging I'll run into.

Secondly, I will be doing the known mods like flipping the top shock mounts to lower the ride hight but what springs do you guys like? From the videos I watch, the springs are much to stiff and the truck bounces uncontrollably.

Lastly, any other cheap/free mods to do to make the truck a better trail/crawler rig?

Choosing a motor and ESC for your Wraith - Gearing Added!

Once you get your truck, tear it apart and check and relube the diffs and trans, rebuild the shocks and de burr the pistons (if they arent already) and make sure everything is tight. While everything may be ok and well lubed already, you just experienced half the fun of this hobby and can work on your rig with confidence

Weight front wheels
Battery up front

Search is your best friend. Spend some time reading other peoples build threads and try what works and does not work for YOU! No two Wraiths are exactly alike. Good Luck
