Default Finally joined the Wraith family

I received my Wraith today in the mail and it's my first crawler! Came already setup fairly well. Shock towers already flipped, upgraded some of the steering components, weighted from tires and such. Took me about a half hour to cut and bend a new aluminum roof panel (just for the fun of it).

My only concern was the SCT brushless system. I turned it on and it's got a surprisingly low cogging to it. It's a 4200kv system!! If I get a 1600-2000kv motor in it will the cogging go down even more?

After more inspection I learned the articulation is only about 4 inches before the back tires start coming up. I've heard a good rule of thumb is a tire height should be achievable. How do I get that extra inch or so?

Lastly, I'm not quite sure where to put the battery. The esc is in the battery tray. I've only briefly looked at the under hood conversion.

Try taking the bump stops off of the shock shafts for some more articulation.

Are they inside the shock body? I don't notice anything on the outside.

Congrats on the purchase!! Now get out your plastic and get online. I got mine a month ago and already about $900 deep. Still have a little way to go till completion.

Thank you! It'll be some time before I really dig into upgrades. Just trying to get it decent to trail ride with!! What do you recommend first?
