Default My servo winch mount (detailed pics)

I just wanted to post this for the people like myself who want to make their own servo winch and battery forward mount plate. From my understanding the **** mount is very labor intensive, dismantling most of the cage. Here is what I did. This servo is very old and weak but still will lift my 3lb shop light straight off the ground.

To start, this is the servo I've converted, by opening the case, removing the tab of the largest gear and setting the little knob to center the servo. Then placed a dab of super glue so it didn't move.

Then, the easiest way to get fitment proper was to use cardboard.

Traced it onto a piece of aluminum. **Make sure you cut inside the tracing line because your trace outline will always be slightly larger than the piece your tracing.

Aligning the servo for cutting out space for it to drop in.

With battery in place

Side view with servo in hole on mount. I actually cut it too far forward and when the suspension would bottom out to on extreme articulation the upper links would hit the servo, so I moved it back and made little supports so I didn't have to start all over!

Here you can see the supports where you mount the servo

And Complete. I can't wait to try it out.
