Made a functional fuel cell this afternoon. Functional in the sense that it holds the battery, aka fuel. Was able to utilize the rear shock mount bolts to also lock this in place, keeping everything hidden. Also hid the hinge under the fuel cell lid. I left the back wall short at the bottom to allow the wiring a place to go and also act as a vent for airflow. Little sanding and some paint and it will be done. |

Did you drill and tap the scale bolts on the TSS Robby Gordon wheels? If I'm not mistaken, they don't come that way? They look good....the entire rig looks sweet! http://i484.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps803d413d.jpg |

No. They are already setup for 2mm hardware on the rings and also already SLW compatible. Only thing I did different was powdercoat instead of anodize. I like the finish better. That said, these are being swapped out for a more accurate tire/wheel combo. Pics next week.

New shoes are finally getting mounted up. Black anodized Trail SLW 2.2 wheels from locked Up RC. These are shown with their optional scale hardware, scale acorn lug nuts, and scale rear hubs. Also with custom powder coated agile bead lock rings. |

Got the console and dash finished and painted. Also got the front tire/wheels mounted up today and machined the Locked Up RC hubs to closer imitate the drive flanges on the 1:1 |

Thanks guys. No solid rod or body filler was harmed during the making of this rig. Quite proud of that.

This is heading home on the 15th. Got the floor pan mount, dash mount and steering column installed and started working on the CMS and pan hard setup. Have to get that finished tomorrow, make new side panels, fit everything one more time, strip back down, clear coat the chassis and reassemble one last time. Then they get to have fun wiring it up. Made sure all the wiring will be hidden though and took it all into consideration so they shouldn't have any problems. |
