2 things Gregg,
1: I'm not a fan of the Currie axles. They are not user friendly for servicing. Had to remove the entire front end and partially disassemble the housing just to install the axle mount for the pan hard.
2: The truss design, for me, and this style setup is just off.
Steve's ears must have been burning as I was sitting here cussing him over this stuff, as my phone rang as soon as I put the welder down. Without knowing what I was working on, this was the topic of discussion for the most part and said I would have a cure in 2 weeks for my headaches. VP, staying on top of things!!

I have faith in VP making it right. Keep us posted. I haven't monkeyed with my curries yet. Maybe by the time I get there, I'll have another order for you.

I need to learn how to weld, A* work throughout, well done man. The BFG's are looking good too, I was worried the recess in the face was too shallow for a beadlock ring but those rings are sitting nice.

Here is probably gonna be the last update from me on this build. Was up till 2:30am finishing this up to get it shipped out today.
This is one of the things I love about what I do. Taking a stack of flat sheet styrene and aluminum and watching it take shape. Along with the pile of tubing that the chassis once was.

Machined a relief in the base of the seats to allow a plate to be glued in for bolting them down.

Cleared the chassis at midnight to keep any rust at bay since we left everything raw like the 1:1. The 1:1 also received a fresh clear coat this week.

Time to reassemble for the last time on my part. Also swapped out the styrene floor pan and back wall with aluminum.

Also machined some blocks for the servo mount on the chassis.

Also decided around 1:00am that it needed front inner fender wells.

And here it is all buttoned up and ready to head to its new owner.....just like the 1:1. How weird is that?

The beautiful Currie axles

Aerial shot

Sexy time

That's all folks! Thanks for watching and on to the next Venom One chassis that will be a little different.

The first set that were being used during mockup were Locked Up Rc Rock Cutters.
The second set that were used mounted to Rok Lox were TSS Robby Gordon clones.
