The build needed to be available for Jeep Beach on April 24-28 in Daytona Beach. I have had the build on my to do list for almost 2 months but my day job, the one that pays the bills, has blown up this year and kept me from my passion. I took off work the week of the 15-19 but ended up having to work the weekends at the day job still.
I knew there was no way to get it 100% complete but that I had to get the overall look done so that it could debut and people would know what it was.
I had 2 photo galleries to look through as I moved through the chassis and found myself building just like the 1:1 in terms of adding tube and later removing it.

Little joint fitting

The 4" rear light bar was too wide to fit like the 1:1 but it was still wanted so I offered a solution to keep it protected and mount as low as possible without changing the rear chassis bracing.

There is unbelievably over 30' of chromoly tube in this chassis. The chassis with skid mounted is still under 2lbs.

damn that's nice. Do you think it'll get used or is it doomed to be a shelf queen?

Truck will get used, or is planned too.
Yes it will have a chassis mounted servo, just wasn't installed in the pics as none of the other electronics were.

Panel fab

You'll notice it even has the rear tail light boxes incorporated in the panels

Now that the cats out of the bag with the Axial Wraith reveal, I can finish posting. I have had to keep this build under wraps for the past 2 months so that it could debut with the new Wraith unveiling. We chose Jeep Beach in Daytona Beach, as its the largest east coast Jeep event in the United States to help get people excited about the axial rigs.
Presented to the guys from Rigid Lighting, Poison Spyder, Magnaflow, Method Racing Wheels, and Active Graphix

The original Spyder JK and the newest, Ghost Spyder

Thanks Bro. Yeah the chromoly is bad ass stuff and we left it raw just like the 1:1.
The Wraith is now a fully licensed Venom One clone also complete with real bead locks and licenses BFG tires.

It was hard keeping this hidden for 2 months, even from Poison Spyder, but watching them flip out was worth it.
I was contacted to supply 3 chassis, one a complete rig, one just a chassis to swap Wraith running gear into, and the third is still a secret.

I love the new licensed BFG. Did you get to try them out? How did they work?

They weren't able to get one to the show in time. Larry has the only one up to this point and he didn't bring it with him to the show. We were hoping to get the tires in time but it didn't happen with so much going on. They will be on here when it's all said and done though.

When I flew into Daytona, I had literally been working up to the second I walked out of my house to leave. I did not have the Power Tank or the grill mounted yet and didn't have any tools with me because I carried on.
Stopped by target and grabbed a couple things that would get the job done and a steak knife out of my hotel rooms kitchen.

Here ate a couple pics of the infield of Daytona Motor Speedway where they had the crawling courses setup for the event participants to challenge their driving skills and their rigs capabilities.

I don't get pics of the 2 rock gardens, frame twister, or the rock stair step climb. Sorry.
Trip was not all work and no play though. I was invited to the Vendors after party where I met more cool people and saw them in their natural state. Haha

And yes, I get dumbass of the year award and am still suffering from this.

Finally semi mobile today and trying to make it through a day of work.

Yup. Haha!!!
This has consumed the last 3 weeks of my life.
The secret chassis, once decided on the final details should be pretty wild. Still a Venom One but will be very special for a couple different reasons.
This chassis went to an employee of Poison Spyder, the second chassis will be basically identical with a couple changes due to rear steer for a close friend of the Spyder crew, and the third....
But that will be the only three created under the CFM banner. I never recreate a rig but this was an exception and since they are technically all for the same customer.
