| gearing for 21.5
Been running my 21.5 for a few weeks and I'm noticing after a good romp it gets warm I'm running the stock 20/80 still and I'm wondering what the best ratio would be to still keep my speed but keep things cool, 32p or 48p doesn't matter

I would try changing to a 5:1 gear ratio which would be a 80/16 or 56/11. Of course first read: Choosing a motor and ESC for your Wraith - Gearing Added! |

It all depends on weight, tire size, axle gears etc.

4:1 on a decent 21.5 sensored shouldn't be a problem IMO. I have found that things seem way hotter to touch than when you actually put a thermometer on it. Have you actually metered temps after a hard run to see if you have anything to worry about? |
