Default Bad Wraith

I am new to rc hobbie game, did some resaerch and decided to purchase the RTR wraith.Bought it last week end and have had nothing but problems.First problem:it wuold run then stop run stop run stop.New 2s lipo, new aa batterys in the transmitter.Took it apart checked the electronics all connections looked good.Put it back together same problem. Then out of frustration i went to my Dads way of thinking so i smacked it and it took off.Repeated this every time it stopped every time it would take off.called axial said it was a bad esc ,sending new one. Then found one of the wire connections going to motor had turned black, loose caused arcing fixed now runs but it will only go 30 to50 ft and i loose everything no power no steering.tonight i was looking at the steering servo and the shaft has a butt load of wobble to it.I have not run this thru an entire battery yet and only ran it up some small hills and loose gravel hills and my back yard.Help please.Bought it at hobby town custmer service SUCKS,

Wow bad luck. Its must been built on Monday hung over or Friday five min before clocking out. But you'll find that most upgrade the motor and esc and servo. Eventually, you just get to do it sooner than most

Everyone will tell you that servo has to go, (apparently you have to spent at least half as much on the servo as you do for the whole truck, it's a rule or something)
if your tight for bucks this Axial Racing - Axial’s AS-3 Servo Upgrade will make it live longer without it consuming all your cash,
6x10x2.5 Metal Shielded Bearing MR106ZZ/W2.5
or here
MS Heli 6x10x2.5mm Ball Bearing [MSH51073] | RC Helicopters - A Main Hobbies

but don't worry, it will consume heaps of cash by the time your finished

For about $10 more, you can get a decent low budget high tq servo

Solar Servo D772 High Voltage 0.17sec@7.4v 64g Digital Metal Gear

X2 this. I run one on the rear of my wraith. It ate a 645, and a 5654. Has an insane amount if torque on 7.4v and some seriously beefy gears!

Thanks for the advice.Looks like I'm going to do the same thing I did with my jeep (real one) buy it and sink more money into it just to get it to perform.

Don't worry I've had the same experience and reading these forums have left Me feeling like a cheap a**, but I've spent over a 1000 from what everyone on hear say you need a min of 3000 to leave the carpet at a 1000 I'm thinking with insurance I should be able to drive it to work

I have done some of the upgrades, but havent gotten anywhere near 1,000.00...I did the super shafty trans gears and 32P spur gear, holmes hobbies motor, savox servo, vanquish steering links, panhard, CMS, rear diff housing, hardened gears, lights etc... but none were needed at the time I did them with exception of the servo..all the others stuff was my choice and wasnt hampering the running of my rig. I am at about 640.00 total including the cost of the rtr wraith..

many of the mods are cheap or free...

I bought mine used and had a bunch of problems from the get go. Stick with it. Nice thing about breaking stuff and things going out, is that you get used to taking the thing apart and learning the truck. They're pretty simple machines.
