Default Just finished battery forward mod.

I just finished moving the battery up front on my wraith. Figured I would share a few pics for others who were interested in different ways to do it.

I moved the ESC into the back right behind the plastic interior. Just used a few zip ties to hold it down. Eventually I would like to make a plate to cover up the back area and then mount it a little better with some 3m tape, or strong velcro.

The throttle wire had just enough slack to reach up front.

The RX stayed in its box in the stock location.

Heres the battery sitting in front of the firewall. Like usual I had trim off a bit of plastic on the interior to let the battery rest in place nicely. I had to remove the steering wheel though. Seems like the bottom of the column touches the battery. I'll just trim it back a bit.

Here it sits. Sliced of the fender flares. Next I'll work on getting the hood cut open and probably just a simple zip tie hinge.

Check out Dinky RC for their wraith interior parts.

That's the next plan. I want to grab a few pieces to do it nice and clean. Some extra body screws for the side panels. And maybe the plastic wheel wells for the front.

Had the wraith running a bit today for the first time since the battery mod. I have to say I am pretty impressed with the difference in crawling capabilities. Night & Day

For any other newbies out there like me, that might be hesitant to tear apart their brand new wraith and start modding things, just do it. The battery forward mod is a must in my opinion. Should have been like that from Axial.
