Default Badd's Fusion 1.9 Wraith with SCX10 axles

I didn't take to many pics as I was building so this is more of a spec thread . I picked the name Fusion because of the mix of parts .
Wraith Chassis with fast back mod . I used bent Tie rod and revo rod ends .
I replaced the upper front bumper mounts with 80mm straight links to the back hole in front shock mounts . So I could run the servo on the axle .
Front SCX10 Axle with Alum knuckles, hubs , hardend 38/13 bevel gear and stage 3 locker .
Rear SCX10 axle stock . But will get underdrive gear soon .
Rear upper and lower links 91mm Axial .
Front lower links 70mm custom made .
Front upper links 65mm Axial .
Axial 4 link mount front and rear .
90mm Axial SCX10 shocks with red/red springs on front and red/green on the rear .
I made custom shock mounts to gain 1/2 lift . the skid plate was very low . Now it has 2 7/8" clearance .
PitBulls on a set of Buck~Shots .
Mamba Max Pro with 35 lathe motor . (My 9 year will be driving this most of the time)
Castel BEC
Hitec 6545 servo
Blue Lipo 2200 3s 11.1
Custom Spare tire mount .
Dinky RC tall cowl hood .
Custom Alum panels . I didn't have a pattern so I winged it .
As for paint I went with Tamiya TS-20 metallic green and TS-6 matt black . I painted the hood and side panels green and the top and bed cover black . I trimmed out an old Proline Chevy grill sticker and made it work . The light stickers are from an old HPI sticker sheet .

mockup wheels tires, I ended up going with 1.9 Pitbulls .

Oh and the flex shots .

This was a budget build . I gave $195.00 shipped for the new Dingo kit . I gave $77.21 for the new Wraith Chassis with interior . I gave $2.13 for the 5 big washers for wheel weights/ rock rings . $20.00 shipped for the dinky hood . $9.24 shipped for the lower links I cut to make the 70mm . The ESC, BEC , servo and screw and other odd items came out of my parts box . $303.58 spent out right not Badd .

update on the cost
1.9 Pitbulls $59.97
The wheels I traded for .

So final price is up to $363.55

Looks great. The wraith chassis lends itself to several build ideas. I have always liked the 1.9 tire builds.

Thanks man, I ended up using the Dingo I got from you . My daughter ran it all day New Years Day . I didn't set it up just added Servo, esc and motor . She had fun even if it was a little hard to drive . I told her if she wanted to go I would build something that would work a lot better . So Fushion was born . I just hope it work as good as it looks .

The pics from yesterdays run .

The only problems with this setup is
1) The rear springs where to soft . I had put red/red on the rear . I'm going back to red/green .
2) The rear was alitte heavy . I removed the alum wheel and replaced it with a plastic stock one . I did add the beadring to the stock one for looks .
3) The rear upper links need to be raised some how on the chassis . The rear wants to squat under load . Parts ordered from Duuuuuuuude to fix the problem .

These 1.9 rigs look fun, I've been considering one myself.

It was a blast watching my 9 year old beat on it . I did get to drive it about 5mins . lol

I'm waiting for the pay-pal invoice for the risers .

The problem with running the 90mm shocks even with 12mm or so of lift is .
The upper links are close to horizontal . Without separation (slightly up at the chassis) the rear want to squat under load . This hurts you on climbs as the front tires lift and the back of the chassis squats under . Only one thing happens you roll over .

This from Duuuuuuuude will help this problem .

The little rig worked good. Jay Bug gave it a beating at Little Rock City.

Yep you have more lift so you don't notice it as much .

Well I got the risers in (half kit) . I don't fell I need them in the front as they are level or just up on the chassis side of the links . The risers are very east to install . Just dropped the skid and removed the links .

Wraith 4 Link Skid Risers from DCW

I'm going to run the stock truss the first time . Then I will switch to Duuuuuuuude D-mount . That away I can compare the two .
Ultralite Delrin D-Mount from DCW

It might be hard to tell in the pics . But in the bottom holes I gained 2 to 3 degrees . That will for sure help with the squat factor .

What a great shot. I'm watching this slow progressive build, As I really want to turn my wraith into something useful instead of a 2.2 Monster truck. Will the D-Mount allow you to bring the links ahead (forward) of the axle any more? this may help with squat as well.

I have not added the D-mount yet . The risers took care of the problem . I will use the D-mount on another build I guess .
