Default Pinion question - and I'm already sorry....

Guys, I hate asking questions like this but I just want to know what you think - especially if you are close to this setup already

Front axle got 36t/14t
Rear axle got 43t/13t

I am running a roc412 3100kv on a supershafty with I believe a Robinson Racing 56T 32P STEEL SLIPPER.

Pinion ?????? Where would you start? And if you aren't too pissed by this point for the lame old question - why would you start where you would?

Thanks in advance for the hate mail and the replies

Choosing a motor and ESC for your Wraith - Gearing Added!

With a 56t spur I run a 14t pinion.
The guide above is alot of help.

On my wraith I have a 3500kv sensored motor with 57/11 32p gearing. It just works for me. No heat issues, plenty of speed (15mph) and awesome torque. I think i could run a 12t pinion without issue aswell

12-14 is a good start.

I run 56/14.

On high kv like 3100 I might start at 11. If I had room I might also start with a 60spur. To get the smoothest cool running setup.

I'd for sure start at 12 drive and check temps. If it's running below 75 or so I might consider going with larger then twelve. I like to keep my motor running in the 90s. This will soon be hard to do as our outside air temperature regularly sees 105.

Good look and keep me temps down

I have the same motor and run 57/11 32p gears. Keeps temps low but still pretty fast really just buy a couple different pinions and see what works best. They are only a couple bucks each anyways.

On a pro4/3300 @3s with the slash gen3 56t slipper I'm running 11t with decent enough speed. Temps show I could go a few teeth higher but no need IMO...
