Default crawl/trail motor on 2s?

mostly into crawling and trails.... I want to have plently of low end control but also want a bit of wheel speed as well I am looking into a holmes crawlmaster pro 16t....But most of the guys running this motor are running 3s. I have a ton of 2s batteries and will not be changing.... I have tried searching and 99 percent of the info is based on 3s power...so considering the battery situation. is this still a good option for me?

I'm running a pro4 4000kv with an 11 tooth pinion and I'm pretty happy with it bit I'm also new to crawling.

Depends on your expectations of wheel speed! The 16t or 13t is a good choice IMO, both work well on 2s and 3s.

Straight from the man himself! Thanks! I'm going to go for the 16... What gearing would you recommend starting with? I want to be able to crawl slowly with out having to worry about smoking the motor

I'm running that motor on 4s...2 is child's play, 3 will get you going, but 4...oh man!! You already have a ton of 2's, just run a pair in series and you're good to go!!

Will 2s be similar to stock speed?

It would depend on gearing, but I would say close to it.
