Get to it man
The trailing arms are working out great.

Quick update...Narrow XR mod and upper supports for my nudge bar. No more broken lower frame pieces

Those bump stops are badass I've been brainstorming on how to do them for a while now

Do you know if the vp scale knuckles locate the drag link and tie rod at the same place as stock wraith knuckles? Is the arm any longer?

On VPs web site it does say you need to un screw on of your ball ends on the tie rod a few turns when using the scale knuckles/chubs, so yes the tie rod will need to be a bit longer than stock.
Also they are a high steer setup as well so it will move your tie rod and drag link up.

Same as stock? I doubt it...the scale knuckles arms are way different than stock or normal vp arms.

Called vp yesterday, rob I think it was confirmed that they are the same as stock as far as mounting position.

Great build man, I love the rig!

Back from King of the Hammers....had a ton of fun watching the 1:1s as well as doing the RC thing. Was carnage free all week until I ripped the M3 bolt for my VP panhard/3 link mount out of the Beef Tube in the G6 on Saturday. Regardless it was still a ton of fun.

Saturday morning I did meet up with one of my buddys and we went and crawled Backdoor...yup the famous Backdoor. I've always wanted to do it and finally did it, the 1.9 wraith did awesome. True to the name, my BFGs took me everywhere I wanted to go

Any pics? I run the same mount from vp and can't see how it would come out?

Heres my beef tube. I circled the hole for the VP mount....which i somehow managed to rip the screw out of. Not the VPs fault or anything, it just happened. That mount gets a ton of force on it, especially when really hammering on it

Well dam, what did it do to the other mount point? Did it bend the tab?

Other mount point is fine, even though I drove half a G6 with just the one mount point. I could have zip tied the one side down so it steered properly, but oh well.

I was looking at VP CMS axle mount for SCX axles and they really should have made it a little longer and tied in better front and back of axle and maybe a little circle clamp around the axle housing like they did with the AR60 housing version. 1.9er is looking good, maybe make your own mount or add a little bracket to the VP?

I thought the same thing about the vp mount but looking at it. There really is no way to make it clamp the housing. no room. My other thought is make it like the currie version where a bracket goes down and bolts in with the link mounts. That could have easily been done.

Yup, having a tie in with the shock/link mount would have prevented the issue. In the mean time, I flipped the beef tube over and drilled/tapped a new hole for the mount. Because I don't want it to happen again....I drilled/tapped another hole right through the mount into the tube. Basically, 2 M3 screw's holding the VP bracket mount on. Should be good for a while.

Cool, but it needs more brace/triangulation something before it let's go again.

If i do pull it out again (somehow), i can have my buddy fab up a tie in that goes from the mount to the shock mount tab on the axle. As of now I'm not too worried about it
