Strange problem..need other input

Ok so first off im now so light on the throttle some times, but thats besides the point. My wraith is doing something that I cannot seem to figure out. Checked and re checked everything and nothing seems to be wrong? Runs on 4s most of the time sometimes 3s

The wraith has:
Mmp
Roc412 2300kv
Mip drive shafts
Hardened underdrive gears in front
Hardened stock ratio gears in the rear
Axial universals
Stock axle shafts in the rear
All robinson racing steel gears, the output or lower gear is one piece as well.
Hot racing aluminum transmission housing
Vanquish axle housings
And other things but they dont matter to the drive train

When im just casually walking or rippin it up on gravel or loose dirt all four wheels turn like they should. But when im trying to climb over or up a rock the rear wheels dont spin... wheels are brand new and the hubs are just fine. I tore the rear end apart, its fine. Tore the trans apart and it all seems to be fine.

If you have any thoughts or ideas let me know. Open to all input. Thanks in advance.

I did try tonight to hold the front wheels and spin the rear ones and they do spin and thats what I dont get. The driveshaft however DID NOT spin when I tried that.

Sounds like a split locker? Or rounded off axle shaft flanges if you have a spool?

If it's a split locker, I would recommend new axles as well, once they've been beat around and rounded they eat lockers.

Thats whats confusing the axles are brand new

So you can hold the front wheels and spin the rear wheels freely? Yeah, you've either rounded the axle shafts, split the locker or rounded out the inside of the locker.

What part of then axles are brand new? The actual axle shafts, the entire axle?

Aftermarket lockers or Axial locker? If it's an Axial, I would check for this.

Open up that rear end, that locker is busted. That is almost always the case when it seems fine until you put it in a little bit of a bind.

Ok I will check maybe I didnt look hard enough I was on the trail when I looked lol

When your right your right. Took the rear end apart and split the locker found that the two ears broke off and allowed the locker to spin around inside the locker freely. Guess I didnt see that on the trail, must have been sitting right in there and I missed the broken ears.

Many people use it interchangably in RC crawling. Generally a spool is referred to as a one piece unit that bolts to the ring gears. A locker is sometimes referred to more specifically if it goes inside of the diff cup (stock plastic piece) to lock out where the differential gears would be.
