Default Fr8cture's 1.9 KOH Wraith w/ Jcad frame rails

This won't be much of a build thread as it will be showing what I've done to my wraith since it's pretty much finished at this point....

Started off with a bunch of parts rolling in before the wraith even got here...

RPP order one...

Order 2....lol

This wasn't something I planned on when I decided to do this build but I ended up contacing Bill at BGR to make a few things for me and this is what showed up at my door after a few weeks...

I also ended up taking advantage of the Holmes Black friday sale and picked me up a 13T Crawlmaster Pro

I posted up looking for some nice wheels and a guy came to me with some VP 8 Hole shooters brand new at a great price so I had to take him up on it. Not my favorite wheel but VP quality and slw hubs is a plus and the reason enough to get them.

After almost a month and a half RPP finally got my Spawn in stock...I was getting real impatient at this point just ask Corey @ RPP

So I tore it down and started bolting all my parts on which I will show in the next post...

fitting the BGR stuff to the cage which was interesting. You had to use quite a bit of force to get everything to fit together but it works good and makes the cage quite a bit more rigid than stock.

Mock up of the rear with the twin hammers trailing arms. I had to widen the mount for trailing arms on the skid because the twin hammers pivot balls are bigger than revo ends. Quick hit with a dremel and they fit. I also had to dremel the side of the frame a bit to allow the shocks to clear. Still seems to be quite rigid I don't see it breaking.

Just to get an Idea of wb I mounted the shocks up to the axle.

a close up of how the whole trailing arm setup worked out. I think the adjustability of the BGR shock tower and vp trailing arms is what allowed this to work the way it did. I sent the stock plastic parts to a friend and he had to mount his on the outside of the frame on the skid side.

Close up of the new interior for anyone that is curious. I like it but I like the original more besides the weight of it.

I didn't really take pics of making the links but most people should already know how that goes. Here is a comparison of a yeti trailing arm next to the twin hammers arm to show the difference in length.

Here is how it is after I installed the carter fab inner fenders and boat sides. I also put a RC4WD fuel cell in the back and put the BRXL in it. It fit perfectly. I also decided to ditch the spare tire.

And a test to see how the trailing arms affected the suspension. I noticed the rear axle was hitting the rear tray so I ordered the gearhead truss for teh rear which should be showing up today.

the plan was to use the FJ40 front clip but there is no way it will fit. Too narrow.

Got some more parts in today from CKRC and RPP.

Got the 3 piece carter fab panels in and installed them. That rear panel was a real pain to get mount. Can't wait to take them off for paint.

Then I got the 3 link VP truss mounted. Waiting on the rc4wd wratih cms kit to get the servo and panhard mounted up.

Installed the gearhead truss and removed the servo posts. Rough cut will smooth them with the dremel along with my cage cuts later on. I didn't really notice much of a difference in travel like I thought I would.

I made a mount out of lexan for the rear exo light bar. I really like how it turned out. Pretty unique place for it since I haven't seen another bgr cage with one mounted like that. Just waiting for the lights and controller from Heyok.

Then I got the Helios Rc reaper eyes mounted. I really like how these things work. Helios had to make a new housing for the BGR cage. I'm not sure if hes gonna put these into production or not.

After talking to a friend who I sent the stock trailing arms to do this setup I decide to move the trailing arms to the outside of the frame. Gives me alot more space between the shocks and the chassis which is a plus. I also trimmed the Carter fab boatsides so I could still use them.

It seems to cycle better and giving more clearance between the shocks and the frame.

Here is some lights I got for $5 off ebay to use as rock lights. Still need to wire them up.

Got my Dlux no slop bushings and sway bars and installed them. The sway bar kit was a really easy install. Really like the look of them.

Working on some scale bump stops but I don't know what to use as the stop.

I think I need a cell block...

I figured out a way to get a spare tire on without blocking the light. What koh rig doesn't have a spare!?

Small updated. I put steel gears into my trans. I decided to go back to the stock front shock tower but since I sold mine in a parts lot waiting for it to get here.

I also picked up some Lego nets for window nets. Works great. I got the 10x10 piece but there is a 10x16 that would work better to cut to the shape of the window that I might get down the road.
