| Vanquish ax10 tranny housing
I'm slowly building a bomb proof tranny. I know the hot racing case works. Just want to confirm the ax10 vanquish housing works as well. Thanks in advance |

You need a longer rear output shaft when running the AX10 case

Its not a brand thing. Wraith transmissions have the dig section on the rear the scx/ax10's do not. Essentially the Wraith tranny is longer so if you use the ax10 housing you need to extend the rear output to make up for the difference. |

Ok..for now I'm sticking with the 5mm shafts. Just need the longer ones. The hot racing shafts extended or does axial make one. Should I get the one piece? Just trying to clarify. Supershafty is out of stock on almost everything. Having a hard time finding the right one... |

5mm outputs for a wraith. Stock wraith skid? I assume no dig now or in the future? |

Is there no way to make the stock rear output fit a ax10 case? I'm assuming it won't seat in the bearing... |

Stock skid No dig Maybe upgrade to 6mm if needed I see the hot racing 5mm one piece hardened gear on rpp. They say it's for front and rear diffs but I believe it's the same one on supershafty that says gear/outputs thats what's confusing me. It's the way it's worded on rpp...I'm sure that's the one I need. I already have the hr steel tranny gears and the one piece plate. Just trying to build the almost bombproof tranny |

The RR one pc WRAITH lower gear/outputs will work in the HR WRAITH AL tranny case (RR is designed to drop in stock as the HR case is) If you use an AX/SCX10 tranny case you need the 5mm extended output shaft for the rear (not a RR product, Crawler innovations or SS part.) Using a stock skid you need the tranny outputs in the right spot, the front is the same from wraith to scx10 but the rear on a wraith is longer (due to the dig unit) |

checking manuals I think you are right. Indeed Rear output bearing Wraith is a 15mm x 21mm x 4mm SCX10 / ax10 is 8mm x 16mm x 5mm Last edited by Dostradamas; 01-15-2015 at 03:04 PM. | |

You can use a SCX Tranny case in a Wraith, with some extra MIP bits. Assuming you're using MIP's. I just put mine together and what you need is two Wraith length MIP ends and SS's "exclusive" male MIP shaft and that gets you the over all length needed with the shorter SCX output. |

I wanted to use hot racing steel gears. I'm running mmp esc with a castle 3800kv sct motor on 3s. I just installed the wraith mips. So I need ax10 vanquish housing with hot racing extended out puts and I'm good to go? Otherwise I may just keep the stock housing with steel gears and the one piece plate. I believe that's harleys set up on his budget wraith video... |

Where are these hot racing extended outputs? I see the trans they make with the extended outputs I don't see the outputs by themself? P.s. I took my trans apart last night and didnt see any way to get the stock output to work in a ax10 case. |
