| Yeti shocks on a wraith Ok im looking at getting 4 rear yeti shocks to run on my wraith. The Yeti shocks are 125mm vs the stock Wraith 103mm shock. What do you guys think about trying this? If some one has done this can you post some phots? My set up is lower shock mounts flipped over,CKRC lowering kit 2.2 Super Swamper sx tires and stock shocks. Try it and let us know how it goes. I'm new and don't know much about different shocks yet, but more even if you're back to stock height with more wheel travel that seems like a good plan.

What springs would you plan on running with them? Aren't the yeti ones more stiff?

I like how smooth the rear Yeti shocks feel. The rear yeti shocks are 25mm/1" longer then stock. They have soft rear springs for the Yeti very soft AX31153 0.90 lbs/in Or AX31154 soft 1.01 lbs/in.

I run the yeti shocks front and rears, they seem to work good for going slow. I just have the collars threaded all the way up so it don't sit as high.

I'm digging those wheels, rickrob! @greengoblin, I think the Yeti shocks will work well with your lowering kit. I love having low COG, but IMO you could use a bit more belly clearance for crests etc. If they come out too tall, you can limit them internally with some short soft springs and have a good semi-droop setup. | Re: Yeti shocks on a wraith greengoblin- that's where mine sits at ride height with Gtransition shocks set up in full droop and level3 lowering kit. My links too are level with the skid, I love the set up and its only used for rock crawling. The only complaint I have is the break over being that the skids are so low, and I did consider going with the yeti shocks for addition flex. However I'm happy with my 107mm shock lengths, gets the job done for me. |
