| A Wroncho Lovers 1.9 Wraith build! AKA The MINI Wraith
After going from every scx10 posibility, finally settling on my wroncho (see build thread: My ever-evolving SCX10) I decided to buy a wraith and put scx10 axles under it. Here is the start up; Bought a used wraith that had a BRXL, holmes 13t motor, front battery mod, assorted other junk with it. Sold the axles off, got some scx10 axles and a DMG front truss, threw them under the wraith, which was pretty easy! Suspension is still mocked up with 100mm shocks. Installed some Axial HD gears normal front , under drive rear. Got some 1.9 pitbulls with CI foams on 1.9 axial wheels 3.5oz up front 2.5 in the rear. I already had a hitec 5995tg lying around. Off to a good cheap start after buying, selling, and using stuff I've had sitting in boxes. I've got a big order on the way; Aluminum knuckles Blue Monkey titanium steering 93mm XD shocks Vanquish CMS MIP shafts and alot of stuff I can't remember haha On to the pictures, which will have a simple layout of how it sits now. Axles thrown under. Slash tires for mock up. Wheelbase needed shortened. So right above is where it site before the next order. Wraith Chasiss (fastback) SCX10 axles with HD gears, alum chubs, and hot racing lockers Front DMG panhard truss Vanquish panhard mount (I think) Hot racing trans gears. 100mm shocks (too long) 1.9 pitbulls front wheelbase is perfect. Front battery (5000mah 3s hardcase) BRXL ESC on top of transmission Castle BEC No come will be: Vanquish CMS with hitec 5995tg Aluminum knuckles Blue Monkey titanium steering links MIP CVD drive shafts Gmade 93mm XD shocks Shorter wheelbase in rear. Wow that looks beast! I've been debating on doing this with my Wraith! I have the aluminum links for the Wraith wheelbase (Axial) so my question is, will the wheelbase look the same as yours with the 1.9 axles? Also all you need for that is the scx10 axles? Do you need the scx10 tranny as well or no? Along with that if the answer is we can use the Wraith tranny can we also use the MIPs for the Wraith tranny? Thanks for your time in advance! |

Use the shorter plastic rod ends that come with the wraith kit, thats what I did, And you'll need shorter upper links as well. Then yes the stock wraith trans will work, and I'm using ax10 MIP shafts which are shorter since I shortened the wheelbase up. Wait until you see some new pix from my build today. Quote:

Oh boy have I made some changes.... I forgot I started this thread..... I'll list it out again with pictures. 100mm King shocks with 70wt oil. Dinky Cheap seats MIPs RC4WD HD XVD front CVDs Wheelbase is at 12.6 Traxxas 21t Titan motor geared at 16/87 Soft front/Medium Rear Crawler Innovations Lil'Nova foams 1.9 Pits HD Bevel gears (normal front, underdrive rear) Marine grease packed the axles Minion Driver! here is a good shot of the wheelbase Added Angle from the XVD shafts and shaving the knuckle arms a tad I tried 1.9 Trepadors with the same foams. I hated them. Only terrain I haven't tried them on is straight rock. That is the last test for them. Size comparison haha |

| Re: A Wroncho Lovers 1.9 Wraith build! I actually love it! On 3s it has plenty of wheel speed; crawls as slow as possible; and nothing stops it. I have it geared at 16/87. I got just under 3 hours of run time on a 5000mah pack over the weekend. If you try it make sure its the 21t, not the 12t. I tried the 12 and its wayyy to fast. |

Did you use the stock or reverse direction Titan motor?

just switch the power wires to reverse the motor. I have the wires switched on my BR-XL with my HH 13Ttorquemaster in my wraith Last edited by realsickclown; 01-09-2014 at 05:57 PM. |

But the Titan motors have a little bit of CCW timing. So runing them clock wise retards the built in timing making them slower when s[inning clockwise rather than CCW. I did the research and found the reverse model of the Titan 21t. I'll be getting 1 or 2 for spares. I know I can just swap the endbell around, but they are so cheap that its more trouble than its worth to me..... | |
