Vanquish Tie Rod & Drag Link/Axial Aluminum Chubs & Knuckles

I have a Wraith with the Axial aluminum chubs and knuckles and an after market tie rod and drag link. There is some play in the system and I want to try and eliminate that. I was looking at the Vanquish titanium tie rod and drag link (the regular tie rod, not the Ackerman one). What I want to know is, does the Vanquish stuff work with the aluminum Axial stuff? Or, will I have to change the chubs and knuckles to the Vanquish ones? On the VP site, it says the tie rod/drag link are compatible with the stock set up/parts but I want to make sure it will work with the aluminum chubs/knuckles (they are from the Axial Stage 1 kit). The play you're experiencing is probably slop in the rod ends with plastic balls. They're craptastic! Some slop when new, wear down fast. Great job Axial...

The cheapest way to get around this is to replace them, preferably with something better. RC4WD makes some direct bolt on with metal balls.

Vanquish rods works fine with stock Axial stuff.

Yup they are compatible. I've been running that same setup for over 3 years.

Thanks guys! Looks like I'll be ordering some VP parts. I asked on a couple other forums and got all kinds of different answers. I knew I should have come here first.
