the bomber is looking pretty sweet but i just cant bring myself to buying pretty much all the same upgrade parts as my wraith all over again. SCX10, Wraith, and Ascender keep my money and time occupied pretty well. Not to mention my race rig and two other bashers.... then the quads, planes, and helis... please dont make me add it all up!

Oh man!!! I had to start having the mailman bring stuff to my work. I thought my ol lady was going to kill me after 3 days of deliveries lol. It's worse as I have a Stanced bmw 740il that gets a lot of attention and my Ford f150 build I'm starting soon. And my dirt bikes lol. Good thing is that I manage an off-road shop So all my parts are discounted and if I want something we don't sell we just become a dealer. Saves me thousands. I'm trying to get the owner to start selling rc stuff.

I said to myself "you don't need to buy the bomber its basically a wraith anyways and you are poor. Just update your wraith a bit." Two weeks and enough money spent to actually buy an rr10 my wraith now weighs a bit more and looks brand new haha. Oh well its just money

This is the last thing I need to know, considering I spent $500 in the past two days.

just starting a mattzilla build and already $800 in and that is just chasis, chubs, knuckles, axles and axle internals. I still have the HH electronics and SS tranny and tires and wheels to get. $1,500 min. which compared to some of you guys isn't much, especially when you buy a kit and then upgrade that over time. Mine just feels like it hurts more because it is spent all at once instead of over time. My wife is gna shit when she sees the bank statement. Especially since she already knows what I have into my 8th and 10th scale race buggies

Its cool. When you get divorced, splitting nothing in half is easy.

My wife has given me a hard time on the amount this hobby costs for the last 10+ years

Just did the math. Since 3/14/16 I have spent over 1300 dollars on RC stuff. Reading through this thread had me wondering so bad that I pulled up my banking statements. And still knowing that massive amount, I'm not really bothered by it. Screamer summed it up really well with his post and I feel the same. My wife knows how expensive this is and she just chuckles while saying she married a 13yr old at heart.

After receiving a package yesterday, it's the first time since December 2014 that I have not had any R/C stuff on order or in transit. Just to remind myself and others how much worse it could be, I Googled it:

Here’s a list of some of the most expensive hobbies in the world:
Big game hunting, sailing, flying, mountain climbing, cigarette boat racing, hot air ballooning, collecting art and other expensive antiques or memorabilia, drag racing, flying, horseback riding, playing polo, ballroom dancing, tornado chasing, and sky diving

That's what I thought, but then I would have no idea. Maybe the shoes are really expensive????

Google to the rescue...

Private lessons run from $50 to upwards of $200 an hour. For a competition like this week's Florida Dance-Sport Championships at the Ritz-Carlton in Sarasota, a serious pro-am competitor can easily drop four or five figures on coaching, entry fees, costuming and travel.

Desbaillets takes one or two private lessons a week, does four or five competitions a year (mostly in Florida), pays for gowns, accessories, shoes and beauty services, and ultimately spends at least $30,000 a year on her hobby. That, she says, is the low end of the scale.
And that's all I'll ever need to know about that

I once had a 90 gallon saltwater tank. This is nothing compared to the amount I put into that thing! I still miss it at times... but this is a whole lot more fun. Plus I get to play with my truck now, I couldn't pet the fish! hehe
