Default Madman740's Axial Wraith

Hi all,

Yesterday bought my X-mas present:

A brand new Axial Wraith Poison Spyder

In the shop that was the last Wraith. I rather bought the first RTR version, cause I don't like Jeeps.
Most of my team member has got only Jeeps. Jeeps everywhere.

My friend Latya say : " Just the unique."

Therefore I'll sell or change the Jeep body and buy a Bronco.

Till that I want to use this Beast, so I have to make a homemade body.

First I made the top. That's the easiest. I'm using 1 mm styrene.

And started the hood:

Tomorrow I want to finish the hood and start the side panels.

Check your LHS, most have in stock.

I'll be watching this as I am waiting for my spawn to arrive and plan on making my body panels from styrene. Good start so far, what you using to bond with?

At the moment I'm only cut the styrene to size.
To bend the roof I use a hair dryer.

My plan for today was finish the hood and start the side panels.
I was too tired, so I only weightened the wheels with 80 gr each and painted it.
I know it will be more cool in white.

Yesterday I finished the body. The last step was to cut the rear fender arch.

For the race at the weekend I have to make few things.

- to solder gold connectors to the ECS
- change the servo
- some stickers to the body

Tomorrow will be my first 2.2 race.

I changed the servo, put some stickers on the body and some scale accessories in the body.

I think I will be painted the body after the race to red or black.

Yesterday the race was very fun. I was lucky, so I finished the 4th place.

Some remark:

- I have to change alot of stuff, to finished in the 1-3th
- the OEM 2.2 BF Goodrich tire is a sh*t
- the body is still alive

Nice job, 4th place is great and know you know what needs work to get you in the top 3.
Have you moved the battery forward?

Nicely Done, what sort of changes do you feel you need to make to be more competitive?
