Its now a Half Top

Awhile back I put new Aluminum steering linkages on both my Wraiths

And kept the plastic linkage, So I used the link that goes from the servo and mounts on the longer linkage

And used them as my up right supports for the Half Top

Cause I only had one 60mm aluminum link

So I tried different rod ends until I got the length right

Then cut and shortened the steering link then drilled it

And put in a long 3mm set screw

There not exactly drilled centered wanted to get ER' Done

I like how I did it cause they are the same Diameter as the

Chassis frame

I then used the 60mm link for shocks

Not sure if I'm going to mount the spare

It would be tipped if mounted

I think it looks good for my first Half Top try

Its not pretty but I did get the rear cover installed and the shocks move freely

I got a home made fuel cell and tool box, and went and bought a Tractor Supply Co. Tool Box

Tractor Supply is closer to me than Lowes, either one of them works for me

If I use the fuel cell, it will be mounted in between the shock mounts and tool box close to the seats

Going to make some measurements and do some math a see if I can center up the tool box, in between the back of the and shock mount framing

Nice work!! Looks like you had a fun full day of tinkering. I've been on the fence about doing the half mod on my build. Seems everyone has it and I'm not sure it always looks better. I do like how you did yours with the same diameter and I really like the fuel cell in between. The tractor supply just looks to big or maybe its the angle. Good luck and keep sharing.. ;)

Agree the toolbox does look rather large for the wraith. But my opinion doesn't matter...if you like it, run it!

The 2 Metal NOS bottles are going in my the Speed Wagon with the Blower

I have a normal full caged wraith that I had to add a blown motor too

The silver truck is My Honcho Desert Racer/Pre-Runner Truggy , I still might put a fake witch on the back of it

The yellow truck is my Yoter Truggy Crawler that I put propane tanks on and you can inject NOS into Propane, that's why the blue tanks are on there

I found these Gas Cans, that I could paint blue or yellow and they could water containers

And of there are my 2 Russell's

One is taller and has a tail

The other is short and no tail

The short one is white with one big black spot

The taller one is white with two big black spots

So it should be easy, I'm just lazy

I did a little shaving of the plastic with my Dremel

and now the frame from the up right and chassis joint

Is no longer is bowed out and I had to drill out the shock support piece to get the screws to tighten and bite

Its Sexy Now

In the next 2 with out the cover

you see the frame was bowed out and I like to good work

And it bugged me

So I had to make it right

Cause I don't do shit half ass

Its done and right and you can see the difference it made

I forgot I had this extra half roof and roof rack with lights

I Also got the light bar of my Jeep, if I look I still may have the extra mounts

So I could mount it on the Wraith but has a lot of people

The roof rack with lights is different

I finally got to the bottom of stash drawer

And I forget, I built these Green Integer Aluminum bodied Wraith shocks and bought these spring set

They pissed out all the oil in about the first minutes of bashing

I have green slimed them, I tried other heavier grease's and replaced the O-rings, nothing works they leak

had 2 question can I add a internal spring to due the damping that the oil would do , or can I run them with out oil , since I have not tried the different springs

I'm buying a ProLine fuel cell l, I took a picture of it, I borrowed it from my EXO that I have done

A little custom work but never finished it, drove the EXO and like it

But since I got a second Wraith and the EXO

I could build Wrexo or not sure what its called but its a EXO with the Wraith axles front and rear

Merry Christmas everybody

I took my Yoter with new snow tires and drove it to Nieces house to see her and boyfriend and their kids, that live 25 miles away in a couple feet of snow and humping like crazy

On the way home it took a little while longer cause it had snowed about 4 to 5 feet overnight and still was dumping

Put the Yoter in 4 high and just cruised on down the road there and back with no problems

I'm loving my Yoter again

My Russell's and my self made it home safe

And they were spoiled and loved up as usual

They got a shit load of milk bones and raw hides

One of my 2 Wraiths are now going be transformed into a 1:6 Humvee

I might be able to mount the skid plate with out having to built a metal chassis

Its supposed to mailed to before the year is over

And going to check it out
