Default Pro4HD mounting ?

I'm putting together a new Wraith from scrap. When trying to mount the trans with a Pro4HD, the motor can hits one of the link mounts before it can tighten down.

Is this common? & What is the best mounting solution? Cutting down the mount or shimming the trans higher?

Anyone else see this issue before or Did I do it wrong?

Yes it's common and you didn't do anything wrong. The Pro4 HD is a 62.5mm long 550 and the Wraith was designed for a 540.

You may have to cut the link mount down some and shim the transmission to keep from having to do too much of either one.

EDIT: updated to correct specs on motor length

Not sure the difference between that motor and mine, if there is any... I'm running a 550 brushed Traxxas motor in my wraith. It hits the link mount. Just used a dremel bit in my cordless drill and sanded the link mount down a bit on one side. It's a tight fit but clears it without raising the tranny.
