Default Cheap mod to lower your wraith

I just figured I'd share I didn't see it anywhere on here yes I searched.

You want to lower the wraith easy.
Rear: Flip your rear shock mount upside down gives you about the same as lowering kits.

Front: is a little more involved.
Cut the side brace off shock tower. Then put 1/4 spacers under it with longer screws. I then put titanium standoffs from as side braces to replace the one that was cut off. The 1/4 spacers let it sit level with rear. And it fits under panels no need to cut holes.

Just thought I'd share for those on a budget like me.

Don't forget you can get more by flipping your lower mounts too...

Just going with the soft 1.04 lb springs will lower the wraith more than having to mod the front end. I don't have my rear upper mount flipped and with just the lower mounts flipped and soft springs my lower links are level. I can adjust as necessary by using the preload on the shocks. I had mine really low but got high centered way too often. Since I've shortened the wheelbase to 12.5 inches I lowered it back down a little. Hopefully when my new Rock Beast II's show up, it'll raise the diffs a little since it's a tall tire.

I tried that it didn't suit my taste it still allowed to articulate more than it needed. But everybody has there their preference.
But moving the shock mounts up it also limits articulation. Cause we all know our wraiths are pigs. Lol

The other reason I didn't flip the link mounts they stick out and farther down and makes it easier to get hung up on the rocks. + you have to shorten the lower links.

The rear uppper mounts I knew about, but the front I had not seen, very nice! I have some old 3.5" Losi hardened threaded shocks with their pink 2.3lb springs that work great on my Wraith, but it needs to sit about 1/4" lower and softer springs is not what I want. Laying the shocks back is not what I want either as both of those solutions make the suspension too soft for my crawling and bashing.

I've been looking at my Wraith and thinking how to lower it just a tad more and had so far only come up with some home made aluminum upper mount brackets that are not enough to require holes in the hood. I don't want holes in the hood and don't need to lower it that much. Great job and thanks for sharing!

I also trimmed the braces that come off the front bumper and attach to lower part of chassis. I trimmed off about 1/2".
Instead of of having 2 mounting holes I just used the rear mounting holes.

I already changed my braces out and made some out of aluminum links. Will post those later.
If you see in the pics I have suspension travel and nothing hits. My servo tucks completely into body with no rubbing at full compression or articulation.

I tried those springs too, but as Rockbender said they were too soft and floppy for my terrain and driving style.
