| Quick question about waterproofing with silicone conformal coating
I am about to waterproof my receiver with the silicone conformal coating stuff from MG Chemicals I believe is the manufacturer. But I am wondering does this stuff dry kinda rubbery like actual silicone or does it dry hard? I am wondering cause I don't want to coat over my bind button if it dries hard and not be able to use it again. Anybody know for sure?

I never put conformal coating over buttons or anything that has moving parts or contacts (potentiometers, switches, etc.). The odds are that it will seep into any crevice and prevent movement and/or contact.

Well I linked up the receiver and then coated over everything. With my Futaba equipment I have never had to bind more than once so hopefully I won't have to do it again. I used to have traxxas radio and receivers when I first got i to RC and they were terrible. I didn't have any issues when I had one truck but when I started linking more than one receiver they started un binding very often. But hopefully that doesn't happen.
