hitec 7955 or? you'll want the 7950TH...its the newer version with GOBS more torque!
What front wheels and hubs...the most common choice is a set of VP wheels. if you go with one of the SLW styles you'll want some 350 hubs and with the DH wheels you'll want 460 hubs. both of these offsets will help keep the tires out of the suspension but not make it too wide either.
rear wheels and hubs? most are running a version of SLW's and I would recommend 600 hubs if you want the rear as close as possible to the front or adjust down from there...350s are too small in my opinion (i tried them)
lockouts? not absolutely necessary...just a BLING factor really...but I like mine and they do remove some slop from the rear axles
chubs? yeah you'll want these or the HR version. the HR version already has the wider slots for more adjustment of the caster. i run VP.
steering knuckles? VP for sure!
Change steering link? as needed...but pick up the Robitronic R17002 long steering horn
shock springs
pick up the Losi golds or the new Axial 1.04's if you can find them

Itty nailed it with one exception. DH II's you will want 460 hub, original DH's you want to use 335 hub as the 460 hub will put your tire mounted wheelbase well over 11"

I pretty much agree with these guys, the 600's are just a little wide in the rear IMO, I'm gonna swap mine for .475's. You might grab a set of weights also, I don't run any yet with DH/SLW but need to add a little to try out as most are adding weight with that combo.

You'll want to do something about the stock tranny bearings also, VP cases and the 9mm mod to the motor plate is what I'd suggest right now. It's the most important mod to the truck IMO and the only must do right off, VP knuckles are the next after that. Nothing else has to be done right away.

Best suggestion-don't get attached to your money cause you will be spending a lot of it

I recommend the VP gear cases, even w/ the stock motor plate and bearings in my roller it made a huge diffrence in how smooth the drivetrain rotates. Mine is still a roller tho so I can't be too helpfull other than that. All the VP goodies are a good idea if you can part w/ the loot, the rear lockouts take out most all the rear wheel slop and the chubs and knuckles are nice options too but remember you won't be able to use stock wheels w/ them.

1" are great for the rear...i run dh 2's with one ring removed (.960) in the front and 1" slw v1 remachined in the rear 460 front and 475's out back...works awesome....and yes vp bushings or 9mm bearings in the plate are a must...

If you get DH's front I'd go with 1" rear, with DH2's you could go either.

Check out Harley's 4pk thread in the electronics section. It has everything you need to get setup, it even has a step by step programming video.
