X2.

You guys should come out with aluminum axle tops instead of gears. Your gears will still break if you're axle top is stripped/flexing and allowing the gears to move/get out of mesh, which causes them to break.

An aluminum axle top is the cure to the breakage!

We had 2 weeks down time doing some catch up work and fixing a cnc. After tomorrow, I will be personally on the axle top project.

Any news on a release date for the VP gear set?

My rear gears gave up the ghost today.

X2 on the gear sets, it appears that VP has chosen to go silent on the issue of gear sets. That's probably bad news on the VP XR10 gear sets.

I do believe they are going to do the rear axle top but I am guessing the gears are a ways off if they are going to do them. There are other options available now so it doesn't have the same demand.

I love everything I have owned from Vanquish but with the gears offered by RC4WD I think VP's priorities are and should be elsewhere right now. For me the RC4WD gears have been spot on.

VP is getting set up on Wraith parts, besides the rear axle case I think they are done with the XR for now.

That's what it feels like, I'm sure the RC4wd gears are great, but IMO VP always goes that extra mile.

what the problem is, we just can not find the time to cut them on the lathes. We are probably one lathe short atm, but we can not just go buy a cnc lathe all the time. We have material just sitting here in house. It has been sitting here for like 6 months. But we can not create a new products, and have a present product suffer from it. Everytime we plan to have the time, something runs out and we have to keep backing up the production schedule or it. At this rate, I have no answer, and will only give a answer to when they will be done, when they actually get done.

The good news is, it sounds like there will be a VP gear set.
