It was a treat watching you drive at ECC, your finals run was amazing! I appreciate the tips you gave me on my rig, your a great guy never too busy to talk to or help anyone. I cannot wait to see what you do with the agent, I am sure it will impress.

Great driving man

I am thinking that build #2 is going to be out of control

I know you said freely moving hollow balls in the rod ends were key with a light setup. How do you free up new rod ends?

Are you asking him how to free up your balls?

Yes, I knew that was the first response I'd get.

When the rod end is assembled, I just give them one good hard squeeze on the "U" that captures the hollow ball. Just pinch the 2 parallel portions together towards the ball.

Congrats on the win,
Was wondering what foam set up ur running now?
I'm running the 5.25 CI foams (Soft Front/Med Rears) on 1" DH2 rims,With Boss Claws.
How do u get ur fronts so stiff? As my front seam to fold over on side hills but the med back seam ok.
Is it just because of u running .75 compared to 1"?
Or r u useing the tuning ring?
Or is it that ur rig is 4.2lbs and mine is 5.6lbs?

What would u sugguest to make it a bit stiffer?

The sub-4lb setup felt pretty good at LRC, but I definitely could not have made some of the big breakovers without the extra front weight. I also dropped down to 45wt oil F/R before the comp. The truck didn't seem to "flow" over the rocks there with the heavier oil.

Its been a blast driving this truck for the last year, and I feel that this truck has definitely reached its full potential. I think I've proven that a 4lb rig can be consistently competitive, and I'm excited to see builders around the country pushing that limit even further. I hope to push the envelope even more with my new build, but before starting that thread I felt that the RT deserved a nice wrap-up.

I would also like to thank the sponsors who have helped along the way in the last year, many of which are already stepping up for the new build.

The narrower rim stiffens up the boss claw quite a bit. I ran 5.25" closed cell CI's up front and original 5.25" inners out back, with soft outers all the way around. Try a narrower rim up front and see if it helps.
