| Unboxingexperience7's first build
I always wanted to buy an Axial XR10, however I missed the right point in time as the kit is now discontinued. So I decided to order spare and tuning parts and start from scratch. It's my first build, so I don't expect it to be perfect. I started with the front axle, here are some pics of the assembly and finally here it is In order to save some money I ve decided to go for the cheap Towerpro servo. the Motor is a Holmes Hobbies TorqueMaster Expert 540. I ve also made a video of the assembly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naaedEBD1Hs Last edited by Unboxingexperience7; 03-30-2013 at 04:47 AM. Reason: added video link, reduced size of pics |

Regarding the ESC I m considering the XYS-BL20A RC ESC 20A, which is small and lightweight. However, it is not supposed to work with 540 motors. As it is very cheap, I gave it a try and I think it will work out for a novice driver: XYS-BL20A RC ESC 20A Brushed Car Motor Speed Controller - YouTube |

looking good so far! although... idk how the esc will do... I used 2 cheapo dynamite tazer 15t escs.... the were sending 35 amps supposebly... my motors kept bogging out.... so I switched to b1r's.... their tekin, and I believe 60 amps... since then I haven't had any issues of it bogging out! keep up the good work! and tell me how the esc does when its actually crawling! (:

and now the rear axle http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6DN2iwGnhQ...0/S2920007.JPG regarding the servo I m not sure if it will work out, but it was very cheap (5$). Also the Turnigy UBEC may be too weak. I think your c-hubs are the wrong way around (too much camber).
