Hmm.. You'll get replies going both ways..

I'm running the RC4WD motor cases and gears for ever a year without a failure. It's a delrin case though. So if you want bling, it's VP all the way. You won't hear anything bad about VP other than cost.

Both are good but the RC4WD includes the motor plate and the VP one is an additional $20.

I've used both. I;m gonna sell my VP cased xr axles and keep the rc4wd ones. Mainly because they are lighter. Neither gave me any issues. I am using the Axial HD motor plates with the rc-wd cases though. And i used the big bearing modded plates with the Vp stuff.

You really can't go wrong with either, but the rc4wd is much cheaper.
