Hello !

I've just had the last missing parts ! The best deal ever, custom axial rings made by John (Fuber Crawler ) thanks a lot man !

So, I finished the wheels ! but... I forgot to buy 4.40 screws for the VP hubs I'm such an idiot

36g (1.27oz) for a back beadlock without screws... 38g (1.34oz) for the front... not that bad ;)
I'll use .600 front hub & .350 for the back wheels !

Here I am... waiting for the screws

Hi everybody !

Screws are on the new wheels... after first tries on the rocks, I understood that clocking the Chubs is essential !!!

picture of the clockin'.

I also use the blue monkey knuckle weights

finished wheels picture !

Now a video of last week end with crawlin' friends !

Lookin good man!! I was wondering how your rig was doing, you haven't posted in a while!! Excellent choice of song for the vid!

How are you liking the da hu?? Have you done much tuning as fare as chassis set up??

Hi !

@vypr : this is the DaHu, a french creation ( Link to the french topic ! )

@eisman : those zip tie are here because i've not worked on my custom steering link

@Rob : DaHu is working fine, the only tuning I did is to drill 4 holes at the rear of the chassis to allow smoother moves of the rear axle...

And here is today's work :

Thanks

Makes perfect sense now. Steering setup looks good. I like seeing the homemade solutions.

Why choose the torsion chassis over a more conventional link/shock setup?

Edit- Just noticed that you've got your drag link mounted in front of your servo horn. Try putting it behind the horn to give yourself more clearance.

Well the choice of a torsion chassis seemed easy to me... for some reasons !

first : I spent so much time/money on my ax10 to make it half perfect that I wanted something "simple & cheap" for the XR10

second : I was wondering how far the "torsion" concept could be efficient on the rocks...

third : there is no setup on torsion chassis !!!! that's great

fourth : it's a FRENCH creation !

EDIT : the drag link is in the front because if I put it behind it touches the servo and I don't have maximum steering

Merci

I'm curious to hear how you like it after you have some drive time on it. I really like the look of the chassis, but I don't think I could give up on the adjustibility of a link/shock chassis.

Hi Everybody !

I've not given news for a long time ! So here I am...

New shoes for my rig now he's ready to go on holydays !

After a few pack, I can say that they are the best I've ever ran...
Some short videos...
First
Second
My impressions driving the DaHu are every day better as I start to know how it really works !
Sexy photo, just for fun

But after a long hill climb, it falls down

result is... one broken wheel !

There was not a lot of water... but it was enough to burn the ESC

So little changes are expected !

First : A huge load of pasti-dip to avoid such problems
Second : Micro sidewinders... might be better & smaller
Third : HV767 servos
Fourth : lots of spare parts !

Hello !

Wow, I forgot to send news for a really long time !

I've not seen/driven my rig since June the 10th as it moved to our new home ! I hope to get it back before the end of the month...

Before moving, I made a new lexan skin for the dahu... But had no time to put it on !
