Talking Elpi'z new rig... the X-DaHu-10

Hi guys !

As I wanted to get to the MOA Side, I started with a pair of XR10 axles... with some accessories not to get sucked at the first riding tests !

so I've got :

- XR10 front & rear axles
- Vanquish gears covers & motor plates
- Hardened lightened gears for the rear axle (not yet received)
- Hardened gears for the front axle (not yet received)
- Axial homemade narrowed wheels (15mm / 0.6i)
- Losi rock claws
- Venom fireball 50T motors
- RC4WD ESC
- Castle Creations 10amps BEC
- Futaba 2106 RX / 4PL TX
- Turnigy 959 servo

And as a good froggy (or frenchy if you prefer) a french conception chassis : the DaHu

Here are some picture while I'm waiting for my DaHu (just modified by EnergyKarting & Cris13 from RCCF to fit XR10 !)

Some homemade double density foams

Heres it's almost ready to run !!!

See U soon for some DaHu News ! (next week it will be ready to fight the rocks if everything go perfect !)

Spécial thanks to all the sellers : vanquish products, castle creations, phil's hobby shop, Tulare hobbies & RC-

recycler !

Looks very wide.. You could narrow the stock xr wheels instead?

I don't have the XR stock wheels !
My wheel are not finished yet, I have to change some little things !
For the moment, 15mm wide seem good... the inner part of the foam is really hard so it stays correctly in place !

Ya I want their weights too. Are you waiting for availability or is there something I don't know about those weights? I'm curios why you are waiting to hear back from them? I hope to place an order to them soon

Hi Everybody !

I did a little work yesterday evening...

mounting VP gearboxes & hardened gears...
- lightweight

- or not lightweight

getting the gears weight compared is funny...

I happened to include all the electronics in the chassis... conclusion : there's too much wire

Fully equiped 1433g only !

Adding 546g for the wheels...
Total weight of 1979g (4.36lb) ready to run... it's ot that bad !

Front/rear ratio :62% - 38%

It's not finished as the wheels need to be modified a little bit & I'm waiting for knuckle weights... but I seems to be good start !

Hello !

I've received my Blue Monkey RC knuckle weights !

I'm gonna start with 145g I think it'll be enough

As the Axial steering link touches the VP gearbox & the motor sav'r, I made a custom one ! it will be good for the first tests !

total weigh is 2.243Kg !

front 1340g, back 782g... ratio : 63%/37%...

First ride tomorrow afternoon if baby is calm & wife ok

That's an interesting chassis. Impressive RTR weight!

If you plan on comping you will have to switch to wheels with a narrower offset. That wide track width will hurt you a lot in comps.

those wheel are not the final one, they'll be modified - again - soon ! (I'm waiting for custom rings made by John from Fubar Crawlers that will solve the offset problems !)

such a joke when people send off their gears to get lightened..and your photos prove it!. its insane how people really think that extra gram will change something. i could see if it was something that was way up high on your chassis or something, or something that would make a huge difference(like 5+oz). but other than that its ridiculous.

that chassis is intense

Yep, looks like a big joke... as we're working on 2kg rig... 3gr is nothing ! (I just wanted to see the real difference !)

There will be no video today... sh*tty weather...

So, I worked on the panels :

Sides :

The whole :

It's not finished 'cause I broke all my 1mm drill bits...
