I got tired of the bwd thing chassis that i had so i decided to get me a chassis that about all of our locals are having great sucess with (not only because its a great chassis but there incredible driving skills) as i am still a newb! anyways so here it goes my T1E rockshow ss this is it three days after i paid for it! thanks for the fast shipping nick! and amainhobbies! so then i took the chassis apart as i wanted to dye it and make it different than your standard whit or black and here is where i got to so far this evening after having the worst time trying to get this delrin to take this blue now tomorrow i plan to get the top links made up and installed and all the electronics connected and hooked up so that i can give her a test on sunday...... any imput on this is welcome and appreciated as this is my first time building one of these! thanks |

Looks great, what kind of dye did you use? What length Lunsford links are you using for the uppers?

I enjoyed helping and also meeting your dad and your brother. Great bunch of guys. I hope this chassis does what you want it to. You will at least be able to get lots of help from all the guys in our club that already run it. Once she's set up then it's just a matter of rock time. Looking forward to later today and seeing how it performs in a familiar place. By the way, the blue is sweeetttt.

Yessir...looks good. Move your front uppers in one hole towards the center on the chassis. Then from there adjust as necessary by backing the rod ends off slightly if necessary. The lunsford links are threaded like turnbuckles so you can use a pair of pliers or whatever to turn them with the links installed...just keep track of how far you go and duplicate it on the other link. Just noticed you didn't reinstall the delrin spacers between the upper link rod ends and the chassis...why not???? You need to have those spacers between the inner chassis and the rod ends. So from the skins you'd have the cab then the rod end then the spacer then the inner chassis plate then the cross bar/standoff/spacer whatever you want to call them...the ones between the two inner chassis plates. If you don't reinstall those spacers you won't be able to move the uppers inwards, and you will probably end up with some binding...it looks like you might have installed the wider Jato pivot balls...that's not enough to make up for the spacers. |

I left the balls in them that came with the ends in the bag I couldn't move them in before because of the binding but I didn't know I was supposed to put those slavers there....oops ill do that tonight and run it some more tomorrow

LOL...your rig is gonna be slap worn out before the next comp at this rate. Just try to remember it's only practice and there's no reason to beat the hell out of it...save those crazy moments for the comps Also noticed you have the wires to the rear motor going up and over the rear link...might want to put them under it so they don't get beat up when you're on your lid What's the height of your skid at the FRONT lower links with the tires on and at ride height (pick it up and drop it then measure)?
